Our WI was formed on November 14th 1918, making us one of the first in Cornwall and at one stage the biggest WI in the world with over 550 members. Times and the century may have changed but we still offer friendship, a warm welcome and a varied programme to visitors and members.
We have a Knit, Natter, Craft and Chatter group who meet and explore different crafts. The Chough Book Club meets monthly to discuss the current book. See our Regular Activities page for more.
We also enter competitions, quizzes and enjoy the events organised by CFWI. Our yearly programme is planned by the Programme Team and approved by the members.
We are twinned with Craster WI in the Northumberland Federation and with Truro WI in Canada.
